Terms and conditions of rental - Le Nid de Plumetot

1 Purpose

The purpose of these terms and conditions is to define the terms and conditions for the rental of the gîte Le Nid de Plumetot, located at 14 Bout aux Charrières, 14440 Plumetot, France.

2. Reservation

The reservation becomes firm upon written confirmation by the owner (email or message) and payment of the total amount of the stay. Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. In the event of cancellation, the conditions set out in article 3 apply.

3. Cancellation

Cancellation by the tenant :

  • More than 30 days before arrival: full refund of the amount paid
  • Between 30 and 15 days before arrival: 50% of total amount retained
  • Less than 15 days before arrival: no refund possible In case of no-show or early departure: no refund will be made.

Cancellation by the owner:

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances making rental impossible (e.g. serious technical problem), the owner undertakes to refund the full amount paid. No additional compensation may be claimed.

4. Security deposit

A security deposit is required to cover any damage or shortcomings noted at the end of the stay.

  • For stays of less than 3 nights: a deposit of 500 € is required.
  • For stays of 3 nights or more: a deposit of €1,000 is required.

This cheque will not be cashed, except in the event of damage or unusually heavy cleaning. It will be returned within 7 days of departure, subject to the accommodation being in good condition.

5. Length of stay

The rental is concluded for a fixed period and may under no circumstances give rise to a right to remain in the premises beyond the agreed period.

6. Arrival / Departure

  • Arrival: between 4pm and 8pm. In the event of early or late arrival, please inform us in advance. A secure key box is available for independent arrival.
  • Departure: before 11am. Late departures are possible subject to availability and the owner's agreement.

7. Inventory

An inventory is carried out by the owner before arrival and after departure. The tenant is invited to report any anomaly within 24 hours of arrival, by message or email, accompanied if possible by photos.

On departure, the tenant undertakes to :

  • leave the property in a clean and tidy condition
  • Report any incident or damage occurring during the stay.

In the event of abnormally high levels of damage or cleaning, a deduction may be made from the security deposit.

8. Capacity

The gîte is designed for a maximum of 8 people. In the event of unauthorized overcrowding, the owner reserves the right to refuse access or interrupt the stay without refund.

9. Use of the premises

The tenant agrees to :

  • Respect the premises and furniture provided
  • Parties, events or parties prohibited
  • Immediately report any damage or malfunction

10. Animals

Pets are not allowed in the gîte. Please respect this rule to ensure the comfort of all travelers and to preserve the premises.

11. Internet & services

A Wi-Fi connection is available free of charge. Use must be reasonable and in compliance with current legislation.

12. Liability

The owner declines all responsibility in the event of theft, loss or damage occurring within the gîte during the stay.

13. Disputes

These terms and conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, the competent court is that of the location of the gîte, i.e. the court of Caen.
In accordance with article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, the tenant may have recourse, free of charge, to a consumer mediator with a view to an amicable resolution of the dispute within a period of one year from the date of his written complaint.
